Intensive Russian Assaults Eliminate Electricity In Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have come under increased attacks in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were injured while residents in the city's east were experienced blackouts and faced disruption to drinking water, as stated by city officials.

Simultaneously, a young boy was killed in a separate assault in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has intensified assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, European nations and the Group of Seven - in delivering defensive weapons and enforcing penalties," mentioned in a social media post.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles struck the country's power systems, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were working to repair systems.

A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from municipal representatives.
